Here to foster deep, meaningful connections between people of color, and our heritage-to enrich our perception of self and community through a sporting-lifestyle.

We empower everyone to experience Black Culture everywhere. So, we weave the threads of Black Unity, Global Excellence, and the inspirational legacy of Alexander Dumas into a rich tapestry of sport and travel experiences.
With profound dedication these values, we celebrate and uplift the vibrant cultures of people of color by crafting our unique squash camps and diaspora tours that not only hone athleticism, but also immerse participants in rich and multifaceted heritages.
Weusi exists to see the BIPOC Community, Play sports, know history, Go places, and Grow together in confidence.

James is a squash dad, traveler, and ambassador of diverse cultures whose life keeps circling back to the court. He is a retired publishing executive who studied at Howard, Northwestern, and Arizona State University, carrying those experiences with him into every city, club, and community he touches.
His teenage journalism passion led him to cover youth and poverty issues for free youth-press advocate Youth Communication, where his work earned an RFK Journalism Award for illuminating human rights, social justice, and the transformative power of individual action.
That same instinct—to see people, tell the truth, and fight for better—now fuels his support for Weusi and Rally 28, a way to rally people, not just points around an Olympic movement that will extend beyond the introduction of squash at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
A founding and lifetime board member of Chicago’s MetroSquash, he has been in the trenches since the early days, helping build pathways where none existed. In Arizona, he founded and now serves as Board Chair of Weusi (formerly Arizona Squash), a name and movement that reflects his conviction that squash can express culture, pride, and community, not just competition. His roles as Chair of the U.S. Squash Judiciary Committee and Co-chair of the Black Squash Alliance show the same through line: stand up, stay in the fight, and make the game more just.
